Tenor Saxophone 3D MODEL

Modeling this tenor saxophone was both enjoyable and challenging.

While the main body shape was relatively easy to understand, I had a hard time decoding the mechanical details from reference photos alone – especially the keys, rods and figuring out what connects to what.

Since I have never held a real saxophone in my hands before, it was difficult to fully imagine how the mechanism works in 3D space.
A 3D model created by Sketchfab artist „millerrh” helped me better understand the structure and served as an additional visual reference during the project.

The final model contains 113,761 triangles and took almost 8 hours to complete.
